| The
Frederiksted Pier is
a very easy shore dive for all skill levels. The dive
involves swimming around the Frederiksted cruise ship
pier on the west side of the island where the water is
always calm.
The
pillars underneath the pier are loaded with a variety
of Soft and Hard Corals along with
purple, orange, and red Sponges. You will also
run into all kinds of marine life. Next to
Lobsters, Arrow crabs, Morays, and Octopuses,
Seahorses, Frogfish and Batfish are also frequently seen in all sizes
and colors.
Due
to the shallow depths of 25 - 40 feet, The
Frederiksted Pier is a favorite for Photographers. The
Pier is also regarded as the most
colorful night dive on the island. |
